Sales Development Manager Italy
For 3A Composites Transport & Industry Europe, an international business unit of the 3A Composites division which is part of Schweiter Technologies AG, we are looking for a:
SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR THE ITALIAN MARKET
3A is the leading manufacturer of extruded plastic sheets, aluminum composite materials and lightweight foamboards: they are offering a challenging position in Italy, a region with a big sales potential. Main target is the strengthening of the market position and expansion of the market share. This is a challenge for a Sales Manager (gn) with a clear possibility to grow in a big organization.
Reporting to the Regional sales director (Sales Team Leader) Italy / Benelux / France / Spain / Portugal, the Sales Manager – in accordance with the corporate strategy – is responsible for the building a market for 3A, and in particular:
Mission and Objectives:
- First Year: insight in the markets, to know the customers
- Achieving the sales objectives for T&I products (3A Composites Osnabrück & Singen, Polycasa, Athlone, PERSPEX and Foamalite)
- Spreading of the company’s European offering position in Italy
Tasks and Competencies:
- Building networks and making of thermoformers and OEM (long term), establishing a road map
- Realization of the sales strategy
- Gaining knowledge of the market situation, competition, price trends, etc. and share the information with all relevant departments
- Gaining project business and follow-up (enquiries, offers, claims, etc.)
- Establishing best possible relationships to OEMs and converters and to reach the status “preferred supplier”
- Work together with customer service regarding enquiries, offers and projects in a professional manner in order to guarantee the best possible business relation with the distributors
- Active network understanding and managing – external (market) and inside 3A
- Guaranteeing a high-level price quality, control service levels and margins of the business partners
- Efficient organization of customer visits and on-going reporting
- Market presence: 4 days / week
Specialized knowledge and professional experience:
- Commercial education or studies completed
- Relevant working experience in technical sales (preferably as sales representative with technical experience or at least good technical understanding)
- Experience in dealing with OEMs and converters
- High customer and service orientation with advisory expertise
- Specific expertise on market trends and customer requirements
- Good sense for market structures and flexibility
- Technical expertise or at least interest in these kind of products and customers
- Knowledge from thermoformers, or companies who sell machinery to thermoformers would be perfect
- Network or knowledge of the sanitary business would be perfect
- Fluent business English and native Italian a must
- Solid knowledge of MS-Office programs
- Mind Set to and Experience in working with CRM tools
Location: Home office, Emilia Romagna region preferred, over 50% of the business is in this region
